World War II Montana Veteran Who Helped Save the Lipizzan Horses

During World War II, General George Patton received a desperate plea to help rescue the world famous Lipizzan horses from the advancing Russian army.  He turned to a Montana boy who had grown up on a horse ranch outside of Red Lodge, MT to get the some 200 mares to safety.
