WY Wild Horse Roundup Delayed in Courts

Delay will allow court time to rule on motion for temporary restraining order and/or preliminary injunction.

ROCK SPRINGS — The Bureau of Land Management has aggreed to delay the proposed roundup of more than 800 wild horses in Wyoming to allow the court time to rule on a motion for a temporary restraining order and/or preliminary injuction filed late Friday.

The motion seeks to halt the wild horse roundup in the Adobe Town, Salt Wells Creek and Great Divide Basin Herd Managment Areas, which had been scheduled to begin around Aug. 20. In response the BLM has agreed to postpone the roundup until at least Sept. 1, in order to give the court time to rule on the motion.
