Wyoming Board of Agriculture to Meet in Cheyenne

CHEYENNE (April 6, 2014) – The Wyoming Board of Agriculture will meet in Cheyenne, WY at the Wyoming Department of Agriculture main office on April 13-14, 2015.

 

The Wyoming Board of Agriculture will meet from 1:00 p.m. and will adjourn at 4:20 p.m. on April 13, 2015 and from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on April 14th. During the meeting, the Board will elect a new President and Vice President, receive a seed lab operations presentation, an RHAP opinion from the Attorney General’s office, discuss Converse County Conservation District resignation/appointment, hear RHAP and Water Quality reports, discuss liaison assignments, discuss outcomes of joint meetings with the Wyoming Business Council and Game and Fish Commission, hear an update on the Wyoming State Fair, and address other business as necessary.  

 

There will be a chance for public comment during the meeting.

 

The Board of Agriculture enforces the rules and regulations of the Wyoming Department of Agriculture. Seven board members are appointed by the governor for six-year terms to represent geographical areas of the state. Board members include: Jana Ginter, District 1; Jim Rogers, District 2; Shaun Sims, District 3; John Moore, District 4; Alison Lass, District 5; Bryan Brost, District 6; and Kevin Schieffer., District 7. Youth Board Members include: Kendall Roberts, Southeast; Richard Schlenker, Northwest; John Hansen, Southwest; and Cameron Smith, Northeast.
