CHEYENNE (April 10, 2025) – The Wyoming Board of Agriculture will meet on April 14th for a special meeting and then a regular meeting on April 14-15 2025 in Cheyenne, WY at the State Capitol Extension, Room W53/W54.
The special meeting will begin at 11:00 am on Monday, April 14th and during the meeting the Board will host a Weed & Pest public hearing on the resolution to add Cheatgrass to the State Designated Noxious Weed List. Later that day, the Board will meet at 1:00 pm where the Board will elect a new President and Vice President, set tentative meeting dates, review liaison assignments, discuss Conservation District appointments, hear about declared & designated Weed & Pest resolutions, hear water quality reports, consider Rangeland Health Assessment Project applications, hear an update on Big Horn Sheep/Domestic Sheep plan amendments, an update from the Seed Lab. On Tuesday, the meeting will start at 9:00 am and the Board will hear WDA updates, partner updates, and handle any other business as needed. Both meetings are open to the public and there will be a chance for public comment at each.
The Board of Agriculture enforces the rules and regulations of the Wyoming Department of Agriculture. Seven board members are appointed by the governor for six-year terms to represent geographical areas of the state. Board members include: Andrew Patricl, District 1; Jim Rogers, District 2; Kim Bright, District 3; Amanda Furnival, District 4; Mike Riley, District 5; Jody Bagley, District 6; and Larry Krause, District 7. Youth Board Members include: Meredith Halweg, Southeast; Benjamin Anson, Northwest; Hadley Manning, Southwest; and Lexi Bauder, Northeast.
